In a segment on the Today Show, screenshots of College Confidential’s home page, SuperMatch, and CampusVibe were shown as the narrator talked about how students learn about colleges today vs. old-school paper guidebooks.

Well, the “old school” Fiske guide was how my S first learned about Grinnell, and that is where he currently is a freshman!

The NY Times has been plugging their online course at $285 a pop. I see this as just another attempt. I, on the other hand, paid $0 and feel I can be a college counselor from everything I have learned as a stalker on CC!! I love CC :slight_smile:

^^very sneaky, NJ Mom…the full page add gave the impression that it was free…on a different note, NACAC is running a webinar on Oct 20th for $40…NYTimes is a ripoff…kinda funny though that UMich and UPenn are the two schools that are involved…typical…
