So basically I'm from a rural underprivledged school in northern California and had around a 3.0 with 1980 sat scores.
I got into csuchico, sac state, uop, and uc Santa Barbara. I was waitlisted to ucsd and uc Davis.
I'm still hoping for davis but with a waitlist of supposably 5000 kids, I doubt ill get in.
Santa Barbara was cool but its pretty far away Davis has always been.my first choice. Parents aren't so cool with the idea of being 8 hours away at a notorious party school either and would prefer that I spend two years at a community college and transfer to a different uc.
I never really considered a community college because they carried such a negative stigma..
I pretty much just want to hear your opinions . And about the experiences any of you had at community colleges.
Thanks :)

i think that if you can get into a 4 year college, you should go for it, why limit yourself to a CC? esp with the budget crisis going around, haha of course parents aren’t keen with the idea, they are not ready to let go :)
