If I retake the SAT in December (my last time), I have confidence that I can raise my score to 2100-2150 at least.

But, everyone around me (parents, friends, tutor) encourage me to perfect my college essays in the time that I would study for SAT, saying that there is no point in retaking the SAT now; rather, I should work on polishing my college application.

What should I do?
Should I take the December SAT?
Or should I spend my time on college apps?

Your superscore is 2070, so if that is at least solidly within the averages of the schools you're applying to, I wouldn't retake. Your essays will be a lot more important.

I suggest not retaking. Your CR and M scores have clearly peaked, or plateaued. Your WR score, on the other hand, has gone up, but I am guessing that you did some major studying between your second and third tests for writing, and improving those last 70 points to an 800 is quite difficult for some people (especially if your essay score is what's pulling down your score) and probably not worth your time. I think that taking the SAT four times is, in general, a bad idea. Most people peak by their third SAT, if not earlier. Your score is good enough for most schools.

Unless you're very sure you can improve like 150+ points, do not retake. A 4th time won't look that great and a small improvement might not cover up.

i agree with 714nD1. heck, unless you are 100% sure you can get above a 2200, i would not retake. my understanding is that a 4th sat looks really bad, especially if the improvement is marginal. you have a 2070 superscore, and you're confident about getting 2100-2150. that's a 30-80 point increase and at this point, i'd say it's pointless and listen to the people around you--work on your essays. remember! scores don't define you =)
