so who was at PSAL cities at Van Cortlandt today?

i got 25th place on JV (and there were were only 25 medals lol woohoo) with 25:27.. i could have done better but i am still glad

Devotia (freaky fast girl on my team) won Varsity girls, and Lorena (new freshie who is also really fast) got 3rd . the world is good.
Townsend harris got 2nd for Varsity (damn tottenville lol), and $3000 for track/athletics. yay! and JV got 3rd place. can i get a what what

oh! im a hardcore runner, but i live in wisconsin.

i was at van cortlandt yesterday :)

I ran with the varsity girls because half of our varsity girls were not there. I did HORRIFIC by the varsity standards but only 18 seconds worse than my best time. But i wanted a best time :(

Our best girl ran JV because the coach just felt like putting her on JV and ran 23:51

We did not get anything whatsoever - our 5 best runners did not come.

was anyone at States (NY) today? i of course didnt run since i suck lol but i watced my varsity team. wow the winner of the race finished in like 18:01 or something... i think her name is Aislynn Ryan. my varsity team did pretty good, Devotia got i think 20:46? she is so amazing and she is the coolest person!!! (i should start a devotia fan club lol)

but the ride to bowdoin was 2 hours! sigh

I'm so sad cross country is over:( I kept telling my mom to not come to the races until the end because I didn't want her to see how slow I was. My first race was like 25:30 for 5k:( However, I kept getting slower each race even though I was trying harder. Turns out I had this huge stress fracture that was really clear on the x-ray:( It sucked but luckily I'm only a junior so next year, I'm not gonna discourage her from coming to my meets anymore!

are you a guy or a girl postmaster?

so who is doing indoor? does anyone run at the armory in NY?

no indoor track my high school :(

I'm doing indoor, but my school barely has a season...like 2 meets. And tomorrow's is likely going to be cancelled due to snow.

I got screwed this year. My school finally got its act together and is building the new athletic center - complete with an indoor track. But it's not going to be done until next year, so I'm stuck out in the cold running, dodging ice patches on the track.

I'm running indoor and our first meet is Saturday.
I'm really excited about it actually being inside since our school has no indoor track so, unless it's extreme weather, we're outside for practice. Monday, we did our warm-up in the snow and our eyelashes and hair were getting white and frosty. It's, um, fun.
We all feel really whimpy now when we look back at how much we were complaining in the 40-degree and rainy weather at our cross country county championship meet.

I do indoor at the armory :)
