CC Student looking for Unis with good Theatre/Eng/Drama

Hello, I'm currently studying at a California Community College with a focus in Art History. I am looking for Universities to transfer to that have good theatre departments because I'm very interested in acting. I want to go somewhere with a decent reputation that will allow me to major in Art History or Possibly English while also being very involved in theatre. Or, if this isn't possible somewhere I'll be able to switch my major to drama. As far as location; the northeast, chicago area and mid to north west appeal to me. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Also, if anyone has advice on the feasibility of someone in my situation gaining admittance to an English university for the same purposes, I'd love to hear from you!

The University of Evansville has one of the most highly regarded (and hardest to get into) theater programs in the country, and it owns a campus in England where a significant number of its undergrads study for a semester or more.

Since you’re a Calif transfer student, don’t any of the Los Angeles-area or San Francisco area schools appeal to you?

What are your stats?

Do you know how much your family will pay each year? Transfer students often don’t get good aid.

If money isn’t an issue, then look at Fordham (Lincoln Center) and other NYC area schools. If money is an issue, be sure to apply to some local Calif publics in case the other schools are not affordable.

I never took the SAT/ACT, but I can if I need scores to get admitted the the school(s) I choose. My CC GPA is 3.7-4.0 I can’t remember the exact decimal but it’s in that range. I’ve definitely improved a lot since high school. At this point I’m not considering money as a real issue. Thanks for the replies so far!
