I am a Community College student looking to transfer to UCLA for Fall 2015. My major is Business Economics. I have all of my prerequisites done and have over a 3.0 GPA (I haven't calculated my exact GPA). However, due to some personal setbacks, I didn't apply for admission this year. I was wondering if I take classes at a UC, such as UCR by using the UCR extension concurrent enrollment to finish UC ge requirements, how will this affect my admission to UCLA or any UCs. Will this jeopardize my admission because I will have UC credit (I emailed the campus and they told me that taking UC classes while in CC will add towards the maximum 105 quarter units, but didn't elaborate further). From what I understand, UCLA doesn't allow high standing juniors (the cutoff point seems to be 130 quarter units). Has anyone gone through this situation and can give me some advice?
