CC Student Transferring to CSU

My Stats:

Cumulative 2.6 GPA with academic renewal
Major: English BA (Single subject teaching is my goal)
Transferable Units completed: 60
Associates Degree for Transfer in progress.
Golden Four Completed
Applying to SDSU, CSU San Marcos, And possibly CSU Fullerton

I’d love to hear other suggestions on where to apply to. My low GPA has me worried on where to apply. I currently live in San Marcos and i’m hoping they accept me there. At this point i’m just trying to get into a CSU and getting started on my BA but I don’t want to go to a school that doesnt have good reviews.

SDSU is very tough if you have not attended a local San Diego CCC along with your low GPA. Any chance you can stay another year at your current CCC and work on increasing your GPA?

Since you are local, CSUSM will be probably be your best bet. I think CSU Fullerton will also be a tough admit.

Thanks quick reply! I’ve now considered Northridge and Dominguez Hills along with CSULA.
I’m just afraid of being in a situation where I have no choices and get denied admission. Do you happen to know of any schools that would be easier to get in?
