CC students taking classes at UC

I’ve heard that community college students look good when transferring if they have succeeded at taking a class at a UC institution especially if you want to transfer to a UC. What are the policies for transferring your grade and how does it really look during the admissions process? (I’m not asking about UC students taking classes at a community college by the way, that was a lot easier to find on Google) Does it just reflect as something different on your transcript or is there a way to indicate that on the UC application? I’ve tried searching for this on the internet so if anyone can point me to the right direction it would help I just want to know about the details behind doing so.

you’ll have to look at each UC to see their policies, but the program exists. Here are 2 sample links

note that these will be real UC classes and will count towards your UC gpa. Although I haven’t done this, I imagine to get credit you just list the UC class(es) you’ve taken on your app just as you would for classes from any college, and send them an official transcript when admitted.

also be sure to check into any unit cap issues. The UCs add all UC units on to the total you’ve taken at a CC, so you don’t want to end up with too many units to transfer

Oh so that’s what it’s called thank you!
