ok, so I hear transfer rates from a community college are low. Is that true? and I really want to go to Berkeley its my dream school, what do I need to do to have a good chance in getting in. I'd rather go to CC than transfer to Berkeley than go to a UC I dont really want to go to. Is this a good idea? Please help!

Look up on college board for transfer admissions student rates. I don’t know it off the top of my head but they are low, and chances are not fantastic always.

I believe UCs have an agreement with CCs that they’ll accept transfers with certain GPAs–do some research.

Cal and UCLA do not have that guaranteed transfer agreements, but they do have transfer agreements with the CCs. It is much easier to transfer from a CC than a four year college. The transfer rate varies considerably by major. The GPA is in the 3.75 to 4.00 range. But who is to say what the transfer rate or average GPA will be in 2 years.

I would probably go to another UC and then apply to grad school at Berkley.
