CC to Private Uni (law admissions chances?)

If I attended a community college with an A gpa with 32 credits (no degree) to a nationally respected Private University would I still have a chance with a top 50 law school? Or are you basically blacklisted from good law programs?

You are not blacklisted.

I know a few people at my law school who did community college and then graduated from very good state schools. Note that there might be some regional bias - I've noticed that west-coasters tend to think very highly of community colleges, while the northeast definitely snubs them (ever seen Goodwill Hunting?).

So no, I don't think you are blacklisted -GPA and LSAT are really the two big factors in law school admissions. Both your CC and private university GPA will be used in the LSDAS GPA calculation.

As long as your GPA at the CC was good, and you maintain and/or improve the grade-trend, you should be ok --especially if the university enjoys a good reputation.

You may get questions about why you attended the CC, however, if the law school you applied to offers interviews.

Good Luck.
