cc to uc unit #

wait, after reading the previous post i was a lil curious too.
how many units am i allowed to transfer if i am NOT a high unit major (such as those crazy sciences).
i swear i've heard soooo many different things...friend said 120...counselor said 105....another person said as many as you want.

so what is the exact number!?

if it was more than 120 couldn't i just take easy butt classes to boost up the gpa?

and plus i wanna double major too so i need to calculate that part as well.

ahhh, if i had a dollar for every time this question was asked...

FOR California community college students (who have only attended California community colleges, not universities):

You can accumulate as many units as you like, but only 70 end up being awarded GRADUATION CREDIT at the UC you transfer to. The rest of the credits are awarded SUBJECT CREDIT. You are not barred from admission based on accumulation of units.

"if it was more than 120 couldn't i just take easy butt classes to boost up the gpa?"

Yes. Of course, your entire record will be evaluated.

so hmm how do i decide which ones i want to transfer over?

Dude. It doesn't make a difference! Graduation credit is how many credits you need to graduate (120) (these are all in semester units). So if you have 70 or more ca comm college credits, you will get 70 graduation credits and will need to complete 50 credits at the UC. ALL of the credits you take at ca comm colleges count for SUBJECT CREDIT (you don't pick and choose).
