My dad thinks it's too good to be true. He's paranoid to the extent that he believes that the word "guarantee" in TAG(Transfer Admission Guarantee) is a gimmick placed to lure people for whatever reason. He's not insane, and he does have reason for what he believes, but his paranoia is spreading to me.

Is there a chance that if you take the TAG/ UniversityLink program, you might turn out to be ineligible due to some future technicality?

I would really like a count of the number of people here who've actually done this program and have been admitted into an UC.

its true, it works, but not for UC berkeley or UC la, and you need to maintain a certain gpa and fulfill requirements so its not like you can say tag me and you are in, if you fulfill the requirements by taking the courses required by the university and maintain the required gpa then you should get in, search UC tag forms to find out more information

you’re in the transfer forum, look at all of the “admitted” threads. We are all on the same boat here, and most of us with a TAG or TAP to at least 1 school. Your dad needs to calm down and do some reading. An uninformed skeptic is the worst kind.

I’m transferring in fall 2010, but my school let me sign a TAG already. You should look at your schools transfer center, they usually have pamphlets about TAG, so you can show your father. :)
