Hello, this is my second post no one responded so I will try again :(

I currently attend MDC (Miami Dade College) and I have a 3.83 cumulative GPA and a 3.87 in major gpa with 55 credits. I'm trying to transfer for spring 2012 with 61 credits and by then I believe i will have a 3.7966 cumulative GPA (B in business calculus) which is rounded to a 3.8 i believe (according to some college rounding stuff). Correct me if i'm wrong. And i will have a 3.84 in major gpa.

I'm trying to transfer to FSOA (Fisher School of Accounting) and I wanted to get some answers and responses of what your GPA was when you transfered to FSOA and my chances of getting into FSOA. OR EVEN WHEN YOU TRANSFERED AS A BUSINESS MAJOR; WHAT WAS YOUR GPA WHEN YOU TRANSFERRED.

Acg2021 3 credits A
Acg2021L 1 credit A
Eco2013 3 credits A
Eco2023 3 credits A
Sta2023 3 credits A
CGS1060 4 credits A
Mac2233 3 credits B

Accounting at UF is a limited access program.

I have one "W" for mac2233 because I did poorly on the first test and I was studying for the spanish clep exam that semester as well, and I was a full time student at the time. I ended up getting the 8 credits for the foreign language exam.

Dean's list 4-5 semesters.

Read the last few pages of the thread I’ll link at the bottom. IIRC there was one or two students who transferred to that school so their stats will be posted.

IMO, you’ll get it, no problem. One “W” isn’t a red flag so don’t worry. The only thing that could keep you out is if in the spring that college has a VERY limited seat supply. Just remember, you with an A.A. from a CC will get priority over everyone else applying to transfer. Get your application in, and sit back and wait.

Thanks for responding to my question, and helping me out.

:)

UF admissions are terrible. They are strict with their prereqs. I feel that they are stricter than some ivies that I applied to. If you do not have all the fulfilled prereqs, there is no need to waste your money. There is nothing wrong with your stats. If people with 3.2’s(what a JOKE) are getting in, I’m sure that you would make better applicant and student of course. I don’t know if I’m technically reliable though because my stats were superb and UF was the only school to EVER deny me. I guess it’s for the best because I’m better off somewhere that thinks I’m worth something. Just get your AA and get your prereqs and you should be in.

yeah 3.2gpa sounds really low. Thanks for taking the time to write all that lavender, very informative. :)

did u find out yet? I applied for spring 2012 and am still
waiting! :)
