Now that I have been accepted to my dream school I torn in a dilemma ; I’m afraid I wont be good enough .
My biggest fear is that I won’t be able to handle the coursework and inevitably fail . I would really like to hear from sophomore or juniors that transfer from a CC and describe how much more difficult it is at UNC .
I am not a sophomore or juniors that transfer from a CC, but I heard the transition is really difficult. For an example. A 4.0 from your CC might just mean a 2.5 at Carolina. Four-year university lecture goes really fast, unlike CC, I would suggest you go to office hour if you get behind. Anyway, UNC is my dream school, but I got waitlisted as a junior transfer from a four-year university this year. Best of luck at Chapel Hill.

I live in NC and am very familiar with UNC and community colleges, but I’m not a student. The poster above is right – the key is to seek help when you need it and to manage your time. Don’t shut down if you get a grade you don’t like – ask for help and work hard.
UNC would not have accepted you if they didn’t think you can do the work. You are good enough!!! Post that in your room and read it every morning and every night.
- Ask for help before you fall behind
- Manage your time and work hard every day
- Believe in your heart you belong – and fake it until you make on this if you need to!!
Good luck and CONGRATS!!!
