CC transfer "whoops!" d grade

so i recieved a d grade in my calc 1 class, and it is not a prerec for my major. i am retaking it this semester but do not feel strong about it and would like to drop it. Then next semester i planned on taking a uc qualified statistic class.

my problem: on my TAG's for UCD and UCSC it says that i am required to take my calc class and get a c for the math requirement.

is it possible to change that so that i can take stats to satisfy my math requirment instead of the calc class?

will this affect my tag agreements or can i get them altered?

i think for most majors you would need statistics and one calc course
they arent necessarily the “same” thing.

“on my TAG’s for UCD and UCSC it says that i am REQUIRED to take my calc class and get a c for the math requirement.”

theres the keywordd

my major is anthropology- cultural.
there are no math classes required for my major.
but of course you need one UC transferable math class to transfer, i was just wondering if i could substitute my calc class with statistics.

Does your school have IGETC infomation about the classes on your schedules? If it fulfills IGETC Area 2 then it should count for the UC GE Math Class.

Assist also has an option to view all transferable GE classes so you can use that as well.

Statistics is a more useful math class than calculus anyways to anyone who isn’t a physical science or engineering major.

talk to a counselor and better yet your TAG contact. You should have their # from an email or when you signed the TAG
