CC Transfer

<p>I'm a pretty good student when I want to be. I went to Notre Dame on athletic scholarship and I partied. I ended up with a poor, poor gpa and my first year. I wised up in a big way, transferred to a Community College, and am now on the Dean's List and on the Honors Program. My dream school has been Sparty for a long time. Wanna double in Arabic and Global Studies (maybe minor in something else, too)</p>

<p>I wont share my abysmal ND gpa but:
3.4 HS gpa
1290/1850 SAT
3.8 CC gpa/ Honors Program, Dean's List
plenty of service, ECs and I still play baseball full time.</p>

<p>Think I'll have any trouble transferring into State from out of state?
How much will my BAD 1st yr gpa set me back since I now have a 3.8? upward trend?</p>

<p>your GPA at CC and in high school are both up to MSU standards. Although you haven’t shared your ND gpa, I’d say that with a well-thought-out essay/application you have a good chance as anyone to get in. Good luck!</p>
