FWIW back when I applied, Penn pretty much owned the cellar by itself.

monydad,

Considering that Penn is a fancy vocational school, it's not doing half bad. How impressive is it that they can convince naive high schoolers to shell out a quarter million to get a "nursing" degree?

I know a lot of bankers and lawyers who wish they had that nursing degree right now!

Look by all accounts Penn is a fine school. I know a grad of its nursing college, she is a fine human being and is married to a college pal of mine. You look at who you are, what's out there, and then choose what fits best. For many, that could well be Penn. No problems here.

It used to be considerably less selective, on a relative basis, than it is now, that's all I was addressing. And probably had some relatively weaker programs than it has now.

That doesn't make it a bad place for a particular individual, either now or even back then. It was still a highly regarded school back then too.

University of Tulsa is underrated...it doesn't even have its own page and so is university of Denver...BOTH top tier schools

Underrated: Notre Dame, Cornell, Miami, Dayton, Alabama(ZOMG ALABAMERS!?!), Georgia, Michigan, Northwestern, USNA, USMA, USCGA, USAFA, USMMA
