My high-school grades suck. They're decent but definitely not for Ivy League.

I'm starting on a clean slate. I need advices on what I must do in general (ECs, courses to take, community service, GPA) to get into UPenn -Wharton? What are my chances? Am I aiming too high?

This is my first semester in a community college. Right now is a good time to start asking so I know what to do or if I should even bother to try.

Also, can I retake my SATs? Will UPenn allow me to?

I'd love to hear stories of those who transferred from a community college to boost my confidence a little.
I need as much help as I can get so please, help!

Look at Wharton transfer acceptance rates.

My advice is to not waste your energy… they prefer sophomore transfers but that also puts more weight on your high school stats.

I think there was a post that says Penn likes transfer with stellar high school grades. The thread was called “colleges not friendly to cc students” or something. It got deleted I think, i can’t find it anywhere

To reiterate what others have said, Wharton encourages applicants to enter their sophomore year as there is very limited space for incoming junior transfers. If you plan to apply as a sophomore, your HS record will be weighed heavily.

Honestly, you’re better off focusing on schools that have higher admittance rates for transfers. There is also graduate school to attend Penn or other institutions that have significantly low admittance rates.

how much does the Upenn Summer course help raise your chances getting into UPenn, i am a junior btw, so if I take the UPENN summer course this summer of 2012, will it raise my chances going in to UPENN?
