<p>I felt that this would be best suited for the SAT Prep thread (if it's not please move it). </p>
<p>I know that I, like most CC'ers take college prep very seriously, and that a number of posters on this board have spent countless hours prepping for the SATs, ACTs, and other tests. I personally used FreeRice.com to build my vocabulary and it paid great dividends for me (800 CR). I love the site so much that I play almost every day.</p>
<p>For those who don't know, Freerice is a vocabulary building site where each correct vocab word defined donates 10 grains of white rice from corporate sponsors to the UN Food Fund. </p>
<p>As I was grinding out my 1000 grain daily contribution I had a brainstorm: What if we organized a day where everyone on CC got together and played FreeRice for a set length of time. We could make it a sort of competition, posting how many grains we donated in the set amount of time, and have fun, all while helping people in need. </p>
<p>If we got even 50 people to play for half an hour it wouldn't be hard to donate 250,000 grains of rice or more. Considering that a child dies about every 6 seconds from hunger, it's a pretty worthwhile cause. </p>
