I think college discussion is getting boring there really are no good threads, and the reply count is very low? what do you think.

I agree It's starting to seem like a ghost town. :frown:

CC works in cycles my friend. :p

call it whatever you want but it's very boring to me.

And we keep making the same threads, and games over and over it's annoying.

This is the slow part of the year. Seniors are into their colleges and start to drift away, and juniors aren't quite ready to start yet. There will be an influx of new posters and more activity by August/September.

I hope so.... because now it's terrible.

The summer will stink, but the next cycle will begin in August and last until October, then another begins in December and lasts until March/April, and the forum dies and next year's students come on.

Many people leave after one year (one cycle) but many remain for two, three, or even fours years.

That's a long time if they've stayed for four years, because CC's only been around for five years. The parents tend to stay more than the kids do.

QQ I am one of the few 4 year cc veterans who is not a parent. sophomore-senior year and junior-senior year are common though. Parents tend to stay for a long time though.

^ I know. I did not know that CC has only been around for five years though.

It was born in 2001 me thinks. I could be wrong though :p

Anyways, expect June-mid August to be very slow. Very few activity during those months.

Were starting to see signs of that already. Oh well, I wont be here then. :p

Yes, once may 1st rolls around, you will notice a sudden drop. In the next month, you'll see another drop- seniors are finnishing up school as well as everyone else. It won't pick up until late august when people are doing applications and gearing up for a new school year and taking standarized tests.

Some of the school boards barely get anything. High school life is probably the most popular....I know next year when college app time comes I'll be here so much with questions, complaints, etc.

I've been on CC since 2003, and it has certainly grown. The own forum was nothing like this one, with much fewer threads and responses. Periods of inactivity will occur, but I doubt it'll be to a poiut where you can't get replies.
