<p>why do you say PEIS is 'hella easy to get into'? </p>

<p>How do you know? got any advice specifically?</p>

<p>Looking at it from experience and based on statistics I can say that PEIS (and most other majors not impacted) is easy to get into assuming you are determined. PEIS is not impacted at Berkeley, which means that as long as you complete IGETC and the major prereqs (assist.org) you should be fine. To top it off you say u are going to DVC. GPA? Its good to have a 3.7+ to be safe for PEIS although I know they’ll take lower (that’s 15 units a semester average, 4-5 classes with a cushion of 1 B per semester). To achieve these numbers I speak from experience. Take the right classes with the right profs, keep a balanced schedule (drop classes u feel may be risky, withdraw courses if ur in danger of getting a C or lower); get involved with some EC’s on or off campus and you should have no problem. DVC is college, however.. its not much harder than HS academically. Approach ur CC with the same mindset and focus as u would were u going to cal as a freshman.. put forth the same effort and things will work in ur favor. </p>

<p>Get all ur questions answered, writing 3 essays today, im computer bound.. CC is a good break… once I finish finals on Thursday I’m done with the transfer board! </p>

<p>also, it would be more convenient for me to go to vista/laney for its location. do you think its worth the commute to go to dvc? is the quality worth the gas money and 30 minute drive, there and back?</p>

<p>any body know if i have a chance for PEIS with a 3.62 gpa, with all the prereqs and “recommended courses” done from assist.org.</p>
