CCC Courses.

I am transfering INTO Irvine Valley College and I honestly have no idea what courses to pick. I want to transfer into a UC after 60 semester hours, but since I don't live in california, and wont until august, it's hard to meet with a counselor or something of that sort. I can't take a math/english 1st semester bcuz I can't take the assessment testing (cuz I'm not in CA and it's not offered online) but I do want to get a good head start on completing what needs to be done to transfer to a UC. I want to be a poli-sci major. Does anyone have any tips on some good 1st semester courses? Thank you

Look at assist.org to see what major pre-requirements the UC you intend to transfer to requires.

I would say that you should knock off a major pre-req and fill up the rest of your schedule with GE classes.

GophHockey: I went to Irvine Valley college...just go to www.assist.org and pick the courses...if you're Poli Sci major Im sure you have to take Political Science 1 - American Government. I recommend Stewart Frame...his class is ridiculously easy.

IGETC and major prereqs.
