I was just wondering...when we transfer to a UC out of a CCC, does our GPA get carried over? or is it not counted? I heard from friends that it doesnt. We have a seperate UC GPA that is something totally different from our CCC GPA. THis kinda sucks cuz we worked hard for our GPA and then we dont even get to keep it? well...someone care to clear this up for me? Thanks

Unfortunately that is true...our GPA refreshes...all our hard-work down the drain...someone please clarify this cuz i am not 100% sure...

also do grad school look @ our CC classes? or only the upper div work?

It's true; there is a UC GPA, and none of your CCC GPA goes toward it.

When you apply for grad school, though, they need a record of all the courses you've taken toward your degree, and grades from 'all colleges attended' -- which DOES include the course names and grades from CCC.

So all is not lost, your nice GPA does stick with you to some degree. It just won't ever officially 'mix' with your new UC GPA.

I know with Law School the LSDAS does combine the GPA's, so they will count in that regard.

In that respect, our UC GPA is only "name-sake" and it does not matter i guess...cuz the Grad school is looking at your overall/major GPA and they do not care about "UC GPA." You guys agree?

At UCLA, if you are accepted into the honors program, then the your CC gpa carries over. If not, clean slate.
