CCC profs and sit-ins

Can profs accommodate sit-ins, given that the class has open seats? I'm planning to take a class the term after next to fulfill IGETC and am curious about learning a little in advance. I don't intend to interrupt or anything, just to sit and observe.

Depending on the size of the class and the format they may not even notice you’re there. However if the class can be expected to have a lot of student participation obviously you would stand out.

In my experience profs are… less than amiable… to people sitting in on their classes. Usually because you are taking up a seat that someone who is enrolled in the class could use.

It really depends on the prof.

My Poli Sci prof found out there was one student that wasn’t enrolled in the class (she’s been sitting in for almost 2 months) and he told her to leave. “No free rides in my class.”

So yeah I’m guessing some will mind, some wont, and someone will probably not notice.
