CCC Student, Do Online Courses Transfer To UC's?

I'm a CCC student and am picking my classes right now for the spring semester

And thinking about taking an online class. was wondering if these classes can transfer to UC's?

Thanks!

Also, I noticed on my college course catalogue that some classes state "Not Transferable." But they are regular standard classes, can someone clarify a bit for me.

again, thanks.

They could transfer, every class is different. There's no way for us to know if a particular course transfers. If it isn't clear in the course description, then you'll have to talk to somebody at your school to find out.

i took an online class before and am taking 2 now and they do transfer, they don't even say on the transcripts and when you apply to transfer on the application that it was an online class, just make sure they are UC transferable

Every class in my course catalog says either: UC transferable, UC/CSU transferable, CSU transferable, or not transferable.

At my school, an online class can say any of those four things...it just depends on the class.

If your catalog isn't clear on this, pop in to speak with someone in admissions or a counselor.

Myth 2: Online courses do not transfer

DEPENDS: California public universities such as UC and CSU do not limit the type of delivery of the course, therefore, online courses will transfer. Private universities can limit transferability of online courses. Currently, USC will not accept online courses for foreign languages and science labs as meeting their general education requirements. Courses will still transfer. USD will not accept any online courses, however, it is not notated on our transcripts. If you are concerned, contact the university you wish to attend prior to enrolling in an online course.
