CCC to CSU application. Question about College Information GPA

Hello everyone, i'm really confused about my CSU application and could use some help. For the College Information category, it asks for my "All transferable undergraduate college work: GPA". What I've read online is that to calculate my transferable GPA, It would be Transferable Grade Points divided by Transferable Units attempted. For the Units attempted, would I count the classes that I've withdrawn from too? I looked on my CC's (De Anza) website and it says that W's shouldn't affect my GPA computation but units attempted sounds like I should add the classes I've withdrawn from. Also I had a D in Astronomy and I retook the class and received an A, would I count the class that I got a D from as units attempted too?

Note: The W appears on my unofficial transcript.

Any help/advice is appreciated. I would ask my counselor but the deadline is on Sunday, which sucks too because I was just talking to her yesterday.

You do not count units you’ve withdrawn from. Did you file academic renewal to remove the D? Your transcript would still show a D and should also show zero units. You do not count the D in this case. If you did not file for academic renewal, you may need to do so asap.

Hey Happy2Help, the D does show on my transcript but it’s also shown to be 0 for quality point. But the attempt hours is still there which should be normal I believe. Thanks for the reply and your help!

Edit: I would file for academic renewal but the academic renewal will erase all my grades for that quarter and I have other passing grades in the same quarter, so I probably wont do it.

That’s not how other CCs do academic renewal. Remember to follow up with the CSUs’ admissions advisors for this. Good luck!
