CCC to UC/CSU Transfer questions

Hi guys, I am currently applying for some UCs and CSUs and I have some questions about submitting GPAs and IGETC for the veteran transfer students, any help would be appreciated since my counselor at school is no help.

So, for the CSU application, where we enter the GPA, do we enter our CURRENT GPA, or expected GPA for the end of this fall semester?
For the IGETC, when would we have to submit our certification? And when do we have to have igetc done by in order for the colleges to know we finished IGETC. I will be completing my IGETC by the end of Spring 2015 at my CC and was wondering if they universities will see that i completed it so I wont have to take lower division classes.

And last, about submitting transcripts, when would we have to do it? Do we do it after we submit our application on November 30th? Or do we just wait for acceptance from the universities and submit the transcripts after?

Again, I would really appreciate the answers as I am stressing out about my application. Thank you so much guys!

Enter your current GPA - anything else would be straight As wouldn’t it?
You are conditionally admitted based on what you report on your application. Be accurate, they will validate. Any significant deviation will get your acceptance rescinded.

After you are accepted, they will request additional documents (like transcript) through their portal. It is your responsibility to check the status, understand what’s required and be sure it arrives on-time. You wait for them to ask though.

They will see all your grades so, you’ll get credit for what you took. That doesn’t mean everything will transfer cleanly but, in general, you won’t be asked to re-take a class you passed at the CC.

You wait for acceptance from universities to send transcripts. Be sure to notate on your transcript request form to the Community College that you would like them to be “IGETC Certified.” This certification is performed at the CC level and notated on the transcripts (it adds a couple of days to the transcript generation process). I believe that transcripts are due July 1, but it could be July 31, I do not recall. The universities will tell you when they respond with your acceptance. IGETC must be completed prior to requesting a transcript with “IGETC Certification” to arrive at your chosen university by July.

Put your current GPA on your application.

You’re doing OK. Breathe. Relax. :)

Just to make sure, I wont have to worry about sending transcripts, getting IGETC certified before the universities admit me to their school right?
Really appreciate you guys’ answers, actually helped me out alot. Thanks :)

That is correct.

They trust, then verify (after offer of admission). They can always rescind the offer if you don’t show up as advertised.

Cool, that clears things up alot. Thanks so much!
