Hi!
Community College Student-
Major: Political Science
IGETC: Yes
GPA: 3.9
Pre-Reqs: Will be completed by time of transfer.
ECs: VP of Democrats Club for my college for 1 year and I completed two 3-month total internship with political campaign: one with the Democratic party and one with house congressional candidate.
Essays: I have exceptional writing skills, but no real way to measure.
UC’s I will be applying to: UCSD, UCB, UCLA, UCI (TAG)
Extra: Low-income and working at a part-time job i’ve kept for over 1 year (job is not related to major) and I would like to go to law school eventually.
Pretty much, all I care about is getting into UCSD, which I believe I have a big shot of getting in. Although, I would like to go to UCLA as well.
I would say you’re going to get into all those universities if you’ve finished your requirements and etc. I hear UCSD has a phenomenal poli-sci department and some say it is much more engaging and appealing than that of UCLA. But UCLA is known to be more difficult(To those who have done UCSD to UCLA switch) and is the more prestigious school.
Best of luck.
@Tik1127 Thank you for the advice.
Bump!
You look like a competitive and qualified applicant.
See link for UC Transfer GPA admit ranges by UC campus and major: https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/transfers-major
Your stats look good bro, your gpa is around 75th percentile of the admitted students so you have a solid chance of getting into all the UCs. Just write a good essay and hopefully you will get into the college of your choice. Good luck brah.
