I am a Applied Mathematics major who try to transfer to UCs, preferably UCSD and looking to apply this year for the fall 2019 admission. Currently taking Calculus II and will be taking Calc 3 in the spring 2019 and will also be done with my IGETC as well by then. The only classes i won’t be able to complete before the transfer are Linear algebra and Vector Calculus.(No course articulated on my CC according to Assist) So my question is, will missing 1~2 prerequisites greatly lower my chance of getting into UCSD?(or any other UCs in general) I really don’t want to spend another year at my CC because of these two classes…
*GPA wise I will be around 3.6 by the end of spring 2019 with a very good upward trend and aiming for 4.0 major gpa.
Vector isn’t offered so that should be okay; not sure about missing linear. In the end it’s the campus decision based on gpa and other factors. I don’t think anyone up here can give you anything but a guess.
But note that if you do get admitted and transfer there, you would have to “catch up” the missing prerequisites, possibly delaying graduation.
