I'm new here and I've been reading this board a lot, it's really helpful.

I'm getting a little upsetting feeling about my application and whether or not I will be accepted anywhere...ehh.

Here are my stats:

Applied to: UCLA, UCB, UCSB, SDSU, CSU Fullerton
From: Moorpark Community College
GPA: 3.0 (uggh) Doesn't look like I'll bring this up. Stats is killing my brain. I may have a 3.11 by the beginning Spring, but that could be the best I get. There's no way to get A's in all of my classes in Fall 07 Semester.
EC's/Employment: Yearbook and Link Crew in 12th grade, Working full time as a bank teller (35-40 hours a week)
IGETC Completion: Will be done in Spring 08; I will graduate with my AA
Major: Communications

UCB and UCLA are a stretch...I know. But I would feel guilty not applying, you know?

UCLA Communications requires at least a 3.5 GPA for consideration and you can only apply as a junior. So you might be able to improve your GPA if you're a sophomore, I don't remember you saying what you are applying under.

Yes. And on the UC application I just put in that I have the TAG agreement for UCSB because it said that no paper work was required just that I completed:

60 semester units by Spring 2008
Maintained a 3.0
Attended a California Community College

On the UCSB it says for TAG you must spend the last 30 units of in residence at your college. Whats up with that? I don't live on campus or anything but otherwise I can check off that TAG on the app. Any ideas?

It means that you have to have at least 30 units as a full-time student enrolled at your primary school that you're transferring from, I suspect.

"in residence" doesn't necessarily mean "living at."

Complete the last 30 of your 60 or more UC-transferable semester units in residence at a California community college (you may complete summer session course work at an institution other than a California community college without jeopardizing your residency status).

So that doesn't mean I have to live on campus to be eligible? I meet all the other reqs, should I check off the TAG on the app then?
