-All of my core academic classes have been honors. I took AP World Hist (only AP available to sophomores) my Sophomore year and got a 3. Since then (Junior and Senior year) I have taken all of my classes at the University of Minnesota (not exactly Ivy League, but its reputation is growing and a 3.9 there looks a lot better than a 4.0 at my high school).

-By the way, my grades at UMN aren’t weighted at all, so even if I got a 4.0 there I probably wouldn’t make the top 10.

-I guess my participation at UMN is kind of like an academic club - it’s actually through a state-funded program called PSEO.

-UNC Asheville is beautiful, small, undergraduate-focused, and cheap. I’m really not into the huge university scene at UNCCH, and I’d probably be a good candidate for scholarship money, too.
