CCCs for Business or Sociology?

<p>I'm a foreign student. I'm looking for a community college to transfer to UCs. I'm considering my major is Business or Sociology.</p>

<p>Here is the list of CCCs that I searched on Internet:
Orange Coast College
Saddleback College
Glendale College
El Camino College
Diablo Valley College
De Anza College
Foothill College</p>

<p>Which college is better and have a lower living cost?
Which college have more entertainment in that city?</p>

<p>I can only speak for Diablo Valley College, De Anza College, and Foothill College. I’d say of the bunch, you could find the cheapest place to live where Diablo Valley College. The community college is okay. Took a few classes there.</p>

<p>I finished off my community college at Foothill and De Anza. Both in very boring areas (to answer your entertainment question). Los Altos is fairly expensive (where Foothill is) and Cupertino is VERY expensive (where De Anza is). I would recommend Foothill and De Anza; they are sister schools, so you can take classes at both. If you will have a car, I’d recommend living somewhere in the San Jose area and commuting.</p>

<p>De Anza/Foothill has a TAG agreement with the majority of the UCs (except for UCLA and UCB). Still, lots of people get into UCLA and UCB from De Anza and Foothill. Also, join the honors program at De Anza so you can get early registration for classes.</p>

<p>Despite what I said above, community college is going to be more about you, than the quality of the community college. Universities don’t really care what CC you went to. I’d just go ahead and pick whichever one has agreements with the school you want to go with.</p>

<p>I found out that 3 of my friends are going to De Anza. My friends may make me easier to accommodate American life if I go to De Anza also.</p>
