...what do you think? do i need more safties/ less reaches? help please! I want to get everything done before I leave for study abroad next year...
I want to get out of PA

bummmmp??!!

Can't assess your chances without more standardized test scores.

Well, first of all, you should know that colleges care more about the UNWEIGHTED GPA than the WEIGHTED GPA.

If my calculations are correct, your current UNWEIGHTED GPA is a 3.55.

I think it's awesome that you are going for Liberal Arts Colleges...but why exactly is Reed your top choice? Are you dead certain you want to go there over any other place in the world? Because that should be the only reason you apply Early Decision to Reed.

Now, that being said, Reed will probably be a slight reach for you. You would DEFINITELY have work on your Math SAT score (prepare and whatnot), and you would have to get all A's in your junior year (which will greatly improve your GPA). So do that, and you'll have a much better chance at getting in.

Goucher seems like a good safety, but a lot of the rest are reaches.

However, you are only a Junior, so don't become too consumed by the college application process just yet. Wait until the middle of second semester, at the latest, and January at the earliest.
