I'm just curious about something and thought maybe someone here would know.

My DD has a couple of acquaintances who just graduated from CCM - class of 2010 - and we were looking at some of their pictures on facebook and noticed there were only 3 girls! Just wondering if this is typical -- did the other girls admitted get cut, or were there just not many girls admitted in fall 2006?

If I remember correctly there were at least 8 girls in the class of 2010 when they started as Freshman. I don’t know what happened to them all by the end however, but from looking at the Freshman classes for the last few years, they seem to consistently have two or three more males than females and the total class size is about 16.

I think that was the class where one girl left when she became Miss America – I think she may have returned, but a year later. I know that one left when she booked a Broadway show. I don’t know about others.

They were still cutting students at CCM up until the current senior class ended their freshman year. From what I understand, their cut policy was changed/dropped after that. So, for the class that recently graduated there was still a cut policy when they started out Merlehay, maybe you’re right in wondering if that was also a factor in there being only three graduating girls?
