CCM summer workshop

Hi, I’m new to the college confidential website. I’ve been reading other people’s posts for the past few months and it’s become very helpful for me. I’m a high school junior planning on musical theatre…and couldn’t be more excited to go to college.

I’m auditioning for the CCM high school musical theatre workshop in a couple weeks. I was wondering if anyone new any information about it? I know they take 40, but I don’t know how hard it is to get it and how intense it is.

Thanks, Amy

I am also interested in learning more about the CCM summer high school program. I am going to Interlochen Arts academy and would like to know what is available to high school theatre majors between their junior and senior year.......Thanks

I would like to know about this too. My D currently takes classes in CCM prep department and until last summer they have not had a high school program through CCM-prep. The prep department does a musical production for HS kids now but their summer information is not up yet. I do not believe that the program last year was residential.

So if there is a different program that is run through CCM rater than the prep department of CCM, I would also be interested.

ok if anyone still cares, i attended the CCM MT workshop and did the 2 week acting clinic and did the High School Musical Jekyll and Hyde. The MT workshop wasn't very intense. Fun but, eh. The Acting Clinic with Bob Allen is amazing, its worth every penny. Personally i learned way more at the Acting clinic than at the Mt workshop. The HS show was a one time only deal, they got a grant for it. any other questions?

Hi Kevin3,
