Hi guys

I am junior in college and I really want to get my MM at CCM. I have a schedule visit to UC on March 8th, 2010 for information on the Graduate Programs and to sit in some classes. I am driving to Cincinnati from Atlanta by myself on the Sunday before and I was wondering if there is any available rooms or accommodations for visitors in any of the dorms on campus. I'm a poor college student and I can't really afford a hotel by myself. I want to stay a couple of days.

Thanks for your help

You may want to ask a mod to remove your name from the post.

Why not call admissions and ask if you can stay with a music student? Schools arrange overnight visits all the time. No harm in asking.

Also see if you can connect with anyone who knows anyone through Facebook. DD had several students staying with her during this audition season that were people who knew people. The music student community is good at helping each other out during auditions.

If there’s nothing avail at the uni, you might want to try this route. Don’t know where the link is but at my ‘college mom night out’ last night a friend was telling me about “couch surfing” – a network for young people who need a cheap or free place to stay when traveling. You might want to google and see what comes up. But be careful!

If you have been talking to any of the teachers there, they will possibly give you the names of some of their students that you could contact.

thanks for all the help guys!
