I will be attending UCSB for physics 2013 fall
and i want to go to graduate school for physics (most likely for astrophysics).
Can someone please give me some advise on what i should do?

Should i apply to College of Creative Science for physics? Why and/or Why not?

Hi, saykar!
I just got accepted to UCSB too, and I’ve been doing a lot of research on CCS (I applied for Music Comp). Although I haven’t been able to find much on the music program at CCS, I have come across a lot about the CCS physics program on college confidential. If you just do a search for UCSB CCS or CCS Physics or something like that, you should be able to find quite a few posts on it, including responses from current students and graduates. It seemed like they all had very good things to say about it :)

I was in CCS physics while at UCSB and am now in graduate school for astrophysics. In the end, it’s really about you and what you do with your time in college that matters, but I found that CCS made it easier for me to get involved in research right away and to take advanced classes early on. The first few years of the CCS physics program also enabled me to devote time to a substantial research project in my junior and senior years, which was an important aspect both of my undergraduate education and my subsequent acceptance into grad school.

Plus, CCS was a great community to be a part of!
