CC's Top Colleges page

Does anyone know what it takes for a school to be placed on CC’s list of top universities, found at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cc-top-universities/ ? Is it number of posts? If so, it looks like we only have to get about 5,000 more posts and we are there. And UA’s forum page is busier than some of the ones currently on the list! Thanks.

Prestige, I suppose. Does UA have comparable prestige compared to the schools currently given “Top College” status by the mods, even by the users of the forum? It would be nice to think so…

It has nothing to do with number of posts and everything to do with prestige, rankings, etc. Basically, its the schools that are ranked consitently in the top 20 or so and not considered Ivy League (that’s a whole seperate catagory unto itself).

I think this question came up awhile ago about another school. I think you have to just be highly ranked.

On the list or not, WE know UA is a top university ;)

Self-esteem does not require other-esteem.

Roll Tide.

I was thinking about this the other day. List or no list, I’m glad that the UA forum is so active and that it and CC in general have helped attract so many great students and their families to UA.

Roll Tide!

Agree on all the above.

I was trying to clarify Atlanta 68’s question.

Too bad there isn’t a separate list for Honors Colleges, which really do seem to be “colleges within colleges,” with their own stats and criteria.
