<p>How the heck did they compile that list? Are those the U's that have the most action on the board or something? Because they're definitely not the "Top Colleges" as I would list them.</p>

<p>This topic has been widely debated on many different forums here on CC. Students at NYU, USC, Boston College, UT Austin and many other schools have wondered the same thing. The list of “top” universities seems to simply be a rehashing of the USNews National rankings, which has a multitude of it’s own flaws. In my opinion, it was a huge mistake to even make the list in the first place because universities are so extremely complex and different that it’s fallacious to try and make a group of the best. A group of the best universities will differ from person to person as it is largely depends upon one’s major.</p>
<p>Top state flagships like Washington, Texas and Illinois aren’t included, but are arguably equal to (if not better than) many of the CC “Top” universities.</p>
