(CCSF)Do SAT scores help with my placement tests?

<p>Hi everyone! I am starting in CCSF this fall, and I am wondering if I should take a SAT test as an supplement for my English ability. </p>

<p>I am afraid I didn't do the placement test well , and have to spend time doing the extra English courses. If I have a good SAT English scores, can I go to the English 1A without doing
placement test?</p>

<p>Does any current students in ccsf have the same question before?
(By the way, is there a website or a forum talking about the professors, courses-choosing in ccsf)</p>

<p>At ccsf, I know that you can place into precal if your SAT math section is around 600+.
But I took precal in high school already so I ended up taking the placement test anyways and landed in calc I. As for english, I’m not sure exactly, but it’s probably a writing score of 600+ as well.</p>
