Hi, I got a question. For those who took some comp sci courses such as intro to programming java and C++ may I ask you how was Schatz or Metzler. Ratemyprofessors.com doesnt give me enough info because it kidna contradicts the pickaprofessor.com. Also, are most teachers hard there? Please reply thank you!

i go to ccsf, but it's only my first semester, cant really give any advise. but do try campusbuddy.com as well, and also, i believe during my tour around the campus, they told us that student union has its own set of student rating/review for profs as well.

I can't answer about the comp sci teachers since I never took those classes, but I would say that some teachers are hard, some are not. But teachers/classes that seem hard (or easy) to me might be opposite to you. (Caveat, I'm about to start my first semester at Cal, and after hearing horror stories I can only imagine that I'll think CCSF was a cake walk and absolutely nothing to worry about.)

I took a poli sci class that was ridiculously easy for me - basically it was just a rehash of high school American Government, taught directly from the book. I was super bored, learned absolutely nothing and earned an A, but a lot of people in the class got very low grades on the exams.

My English classes were all the most difficult ones at CCSF, but only because I chose the difficult and demanding teachers who were hoping to prepare their students for a UC or similar school. I really struggle with research papers due to procrastination, but I believe I turned in some of my best work in those classes.

I loved the Plant Biology class I took. It was not very easy, but it was very rewarding. Likewise the Physical Geography class.

In short, take classes that will challenge you at least a little bit, especially if you want to go to a UC. If you want some recommendations for non comp sci classes/professors for GE credits, IM me.

Yeah. I have some questions. What is ur Major at Cal and what was your gpa?

Geography; 3.96

Ooh do you use AIM by any chance? I would like to talk to you.

Take Metzler. I've never heard of schatz, but I know Metzler is a very good teacher. He's really chillax when it comes to deadlines. And by how was so and so, I assume you're implying getting an A. Let's just say, 50% of my class got an A.

kemosabe or thatgirltoo any of you guys have AIM? I want to talk to you guys :)

No idea who that teacher is ether. Only somewhat computer class i took was cnit100 with Bohan as its required for my major.Man that class was boring as hell and the teacher got mad at me anytime I mentioned apple computers,Hacking, bootlegging and that anything is can be broken into. But yet I got an A **** shes hella easy by the midterm i had a 110% A and I never did extra credit. So Easy Class right here for my CCSF Heads.
