I will be attending Coastal Carolina sometime . My advisor suggested LIFE program but it seemed to be aimed for disabilities more like Downs , Autism etc and someone I know said its for learning disabities too. I have ADD and OCD and I feel like I don’t need LIFE. I want to be a regular student like I was throughout elementary to high school. I had inclusion classes and resource but not something like self contained. Do I need this program if I don’t have anything related to downs , autism or any other disabities and is LIFE a self contained program.
I would check with the Accessibility and Disability office at CCU. There is also a whole Powerpoint about the LIFE program on CCU’s website, if you just type in LIFE in the search bar, which may answer some of your questions.
No. You are correct, the LIFE program is not for a student with ADD and OCD. If you have been admitted to the university, you will be given the opportunity to work with other services on campus. We’ve had students with similar issues. There is plenty of support.
