CE Major with ArchE minor

Currently I am a student at Cal Poly SLO majoring in Civil Engineering. I'll be approaching my 3rd year soon and I plan to concentrate in the Structural aspect of CE. I've been looking into a minor to go along with my major and a Architecture Engineering minor (which focuses on structural side of engineering only) complements it best. Most of my fellow classmates minor either in CM (construction management) or Statistics because its the common route people take.

My question is 1) should I even bother minoring in ArchE? Will it help me in the future with my structural degree and find me a job? 2) Will it make me a better structural engineer? Will I be able to know more and put me at a better place than other structural engineers?

I am already ahead in my units so if I pursue a ArchE minor, I should still be able to graduate in 4.

Thank you for your help!
