I just wanted to make this thread for the Columbia Engineering Experience since the deadline is today and I thought this would be a cool way to kill time as we wait anxiously for the results. So what general topics did you guys end up writing about in your short-answers?

I applied a few days ago … I mainly just talked about my interest in biomedical engineering
@JWade2000 Yea pretty much same, although I had to talk about some humanities when discussing my favorite reading in the past year.
Same. I talked about my research in BME. For the favorite reading, I wrote about neuroscience and medicine.
@jsca17 Have you ever attended an info session at Columbia?
I’ve attended a combined session in my hometown, but I’ve never been to Columbia (which is why I was really excited about this program)

I talked about circuit design and the papers I have written on circuit power optimization. I tried to show how I had a personal interest that started in the classroom.
I can’t remember, but what else did the application ask for? I’m wondering what y’alls SAT’s and GPAs and stuff are
My school doesn’t weigh GPA so I have a 3.96. I took the most challenging classes but since a lot of people have a 4.0 from easy classes, my rank is really bad. I wonder if counselors sent a school profile or something, or if it was just our transcript.
