Cedar Apartments

Hello,
I am going to be a second year transfer student this fall and I applied for living in the dorms on campus, but because I am priority group 4 I did not get a spot. I was wondering if anyone has any expirience with not getting a room at first. I called housing and they said they don't typically get through all of the priority group 4 applicants.

So, I am looking into other options, even though my first choice would be a dorm (on north campus). When I called they said they still have a few rooms left in the Cedar apartments. Has anyone lived there or have friends who lived there? They seem like quite a walk from campus, but I guess that would be better than commuting from home. I am also concerned that there might be a lot of traffic noise, being on west campus.

Any information would help! Thanks!

Cedar Apartments are on the West side of campus, but it’s not really a far walk to the campus ground itself. I live in an apartment just up the same street of Cedar and it takes me about 3-4 minutes to walk to campus and about 6 minutes to get to Red Square.

I’m not sure how it is like living in Cedar, but from the outside it looks nice. I believe it’s a fairly new building.
