<p>Attended the CEHD (College of Education and Human Development) Open House on Saturday with D and found it most useful. We had taken a campus tour and attended a general info session on Friday which were fine but the Open House experience was really quite impressive and -- along with the value of the U of MN -- may have made the difference. In my 3 years plus of doing college visits with both kids, this open house ranked as one of the most informative and useful sessions I attended. I loved how the faculty, administration, current students and advisers all participated and how genuine everyone seemed. Sure they were "selling" us but I had the sense they meant what they said. Curious for reactions from others who may have been there....or at one of the other U of MN Open Houses. We are OOS and it was well worth the plane ride into the Twin Cities.</p>
