celebrate uci...

i really want to attend celebrate uci on 19th...
i live in sacramento, but it wont be difficult to get to la since i can always fly......however my problem is how would you get to uci from lax??
i was thinking about taxi...but im thinking it will be super expensive from lax to uci...and at the end...how would you get to lax from uci??

btw, i will be traveling alone...

you can fly into john wayne airport, its a lot closer to uci than lax

You can take a FlyAway bus from LAX to Union Station, then the Pacific Surfliner to Irvine.

There's also a Metrolink train on the same route, but it has more limited hours.

You can fly Southwest Airlines from Sacramento to John Wayne Airport (SNA) which is less than five minutes away from UCI.

nschuchert:
really??its only five minutes?? do you think i can walk???or is it highway only??

John Wayne / Orange County Airport (SNA) is 2 miles from UCI, which is about a $10 cab ride. You can fly from Sacramento to SNA and be back on the same day.

I wouldn't reccomend walking but as the other poster said you could catch a cab to UCI for about 10 dollars. You could be on 8 am flight out of Sacramento and get on the 6 pm flight back home later that day.

yeah...i guess i would get a cab ride...
how about from uci to airport?? is there any cab around the campus?? or should i make any arrangement or somethin??

and thanks for the infos...

Or you can use the shuttles. Google "john wayne airport shuttle service".
