Celiac/Gluten Free

<p>Is there anyone out there that has any input about being Celiac or gluten free at UW? I am thinking about transferring to the UW and I have celiac disease. My previous college did a pretty good job of having GF options in the dining hall, but I did end up having to go grocery shopping quite a bit and had to try to cook in my dorm with a microwave and small rice cooker! </p>

<p>I’ll be a transfer commuter starting in the fall and this was something I was concerned about, too, as I also have Celiac. I’m afraid I can’t help in regards to the dining halls, but the times I’ve visited I was pleasantly surprised by the premade options in the markets on campus, and even the food trucks had a couple options. It wasn’t a huge variety, but they’re obviously trying. Thankfully the Seattle area is a great place to be gluten free.</p>
