cell phone coverage

Does Verizon work in West Quad? Which cell phone service works the best on campus?

It's a big enough city that I'm pretty sure all major cell phone providers get service. The only problem is inside of certain dorms and buildings since they're just huge concrete blocks. I'm not sure specifically about West Quad, but I know that for South Quad I got service on the 5th floor, and that you got better service the higher up you were.

I hope Sprint works in Bursley. I went with them becauseall of the salespeople who offered both Cingular and Sprint said Sprint was much better. T-mobile and Verizon are not in my home area. U.S. Cellular is, but not in Ann Arbor.

Have any students made a site of dead zones on campus for various providers?

Cingular works very well in Ann Arbor, but I can't really vouch for the dorms because I don't go to Umich...yet mauhaa!

Verizon sucked when I was at orientation.

cingular is awesome on campus.

Verizon has worked just fine for me everytime I've been in Ann Arbor.

Any other input? I would like a plan with a lot of texting. My BF has verizon so if I got that we could talk and text for free.. But I want something that has good service, and a decent price too. Right now I'm on Alltel, but I don't know how good that'll work down there.

Nextel works very well

My T-mobile worked fine in Ann Arbor last weekend, not so much in the Chem building though, I completely lost service in there. Then again, it's probably like that for every service.
