Just making sure, but does Sprint work on campus? I heard from someone that it doesn't for some odd reason.

Better to choose Verizon if the costs are comparable.

But does it work on campus?

how about cingular? i hear it's decent, but not as good as verizon...

Cingulair and Verizon are roughly comparable in terms of real world usage. My roommate had cingulair, I had verizon, we both had no trouble with calls. Verizon has slightly better coverage, but you probably won't notice it too much. If the plans are similar then either one is fine.

'Back in the day', Verizon was the only service that reliably generated coverage on campus. Has Cingular improved in the past year or two?

i have Sprint and for the majority of the time the reception was fine. there are, however, a few bad spots. in the bryan center for example, my phone would start roaming. if you have free roaming (like i do), then its no big deal and Sprint is fine.

Yah, like the last person said, if you have free roaming, then staying with sprint is fine. There are some places on Central campus that it gets no service, but thats the only place i've heard and freshmen shouldnt have to worry about that. Sprint roams in the Bryan Center and in the libraries on west, i think it works fine in most of the freshman dorms though.
